I'm a BIG fan of the lost art of the DRUM SOLO. Aside from my adoration of Hal
Blaine, and my other great teacher, Hine Williams, I was inspired in my early years
by a parade of amazing drum soloists. What can I say? I was born at the right time.
To name just a few, there were Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, John Bonham,  Don Brewer,
Carl Palmer, Keith Moon, Tony Williams...the list goes on (and I'm just talking my
favorite "soloists")
The following is an excerpt, edited from a 50 minute solo I played, messing around
in a studio, waiting for the other musicians to arrive (the story of my life) Thanks
to the engineer, who pressed the RECORD button.
That's my Gretsch kit, Zildjian cymbals, Camco pedal.
